YOUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR WINE CLASSES
What's the process for signing up for one of your wine classes?
To register for our classes, simply visit the Sensation Vin website. Choose the class you'd like to attend and follow the steps provided.
Where are you located, and do you have parking?
We're happy to welcome you to the heart of Beaune's historic center, at 2A Rue Paul Bouchard, in the old town. Since we're in a historic area, we don't have private parking. However, public parking lots are available within a 5 to 10-minute walk.
How many participants are in the tasting classes?
The number of participants in our wine tasting classes is limited to 6 or 9 people. This setup is based on the size of our two professional tasting tables, which are optimized to encourage rich and constructive discussions among participants.
Can I offer a wine class as a gift?
Absolutely! It's a very popular gift idea. Our wine classes are available as gift vouchers, valid for one year. For more information on our gift vouchers, please check out our
Gift Voucher FAQ.
How many wines are offered for tasting during a class?
Generally, our classes include a tasting selection of 6 to 10 different wines.
What are the qualifications of Sensation Vin's wine class instructors?
All our classes are exclusively led by Céline Dandelot and Damien Delattre, the founders of Sensation Vin since 2006. They have 23 and 33 years of experience in the field, respectively.
Can a tasting class be canceled due to an insufficient number of participants?
No, we are committed to holding all our classes, regardless of the number of participants. There's no minimum required for a class to take place.
Can I cancel my registration for a wine class?
Yes, you can absolutely cancel your registration. Cancellation fees may apply depending on how close it is to the class date.
Is a certain level of wine knowledge required to participate in your tasting classes?
Not at all! Our classes are designed for all levels, with no specific prior knowledge required. The small group format encourages understanding, learning, and allows everyone to ask any questions they have.
If I'm registered for a wine class, do I need to arrive early?
There's no need to arrive early. You can show up at the scheduled start time for the class.
Is it possible to be accompanied by someone not participating in the tasting class?
To ensure an optimal experience for all participants, our classes are designed for small groups of 6 to 9 people, depending on the class. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot accommodate additional unregistered guests.
Is food served with the tasting (bread, cheese, etc.)?
No food is served because the objective of a wine class is to gain knowledge and master tasting methodology. Any presence of food would interfere with the olfactory and gustatory examination of the wines. That's why a tasting class does not include any food.
Are the same wines always tasted during the classes?
No, from one bottle to another, one class to another, one week to another, the wines tasted change. We might enjoy a Meursault one day and a Puligny-Montrachet the next one. We have over 500 references resting in our 14th-century cellar. The selected appellations and chosen vintages are constantly evolving throughout the year. If you plan to attend multiple classes at Sensation Vin, we guarantee you won't taste the same wine twice.
