Why we created the From Corton to Chambertin wine tour
For many years, we have observed that Burgundy wine lovers often know the names of the great appellations of the Côte de Nuits without always being able to locate them within the vineyard.Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Clos de Vougeot, Clos des Lambrays and Chambertin are names that evoke some of the world's most prestigious wines. Yet it is not always easy to understand how these vineyards relate to their landscape, geography and history.
This is precisely why we created the From Corton to Chambertin wine tour.
Our objective was simple: to help participants discover Burgundy's great red wine vineyards directly in the field, connecting the observation of the vineyard with the tasting of the wines that originate from it.

We firmly believe that Burgundy's vineyards are best understood when experienced in person.
A map can explain Burgundy.
A book can describe its vineyards.
A tasting can reveal a wine.
But standing above a hillside, observing the villages, vineyard exposures and landscapes before tasting the wines that originate there creates a completely different level of understanding.
This idea lies at the heart of this wine tour.
We designed this itinerary to demonstrate how just a few kilometres can produce wines with remarkably different personalities. Between Corton and Chambertin, every stop provides an opportunity to understand why certain vineyards have become among the most admired and sought-after in the world.
Over the years, we have found that this approach helps participants remember Burgundy's appellations, climats and wines far more easily than through traditional classroom-style explanations.

We chose an itinerant format so that every tasting could be connected directly to its natural environment. The vineyard stops allow us to explain the appellations while standing in front of the very vineyards that gave birth to them.
This immersive approach gives greater meaning to the tasting experience and helps explain why certain places have become world-famous references.
Travelling by Jeep Wrangler also allows us to access vineyard tracks rarely used by visitors and reach some of the most spectacular viewpoints overlooking the Côte de Nuits.
Upon request, a third or fourth participant may be added, as our vehicle can accommodate additional guests.
Upon request, it is possible to enjoy one tour in the morning and the other in the afternoon, creating a full day immersed in Burgundy's finest red and white wine vineyards.
Observing the Corton hillside, admiring the Grand Crus of Vosne-Romanée from above, exploring the vineyards of Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin, and tasting the wines that originate from these places fundamentally changes how the vineyard is perceived.

The vineyard tour is maintained even in poor weather conditions. If necessary, the wines are tasted after the tour at our tasting room in the center of Beaune.Can I discover both the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune on the same day?
