20 Years of Sensation Vin: A Journey of Maturity and Independence in Beaune

On April 22nd, Sensation Vin will reach a symbolic milestone: 20 years of passion and expertise.

Looking back to Saturday, April 22, 2006, some of you may remember our beginnings at 1 rue d’Enfer, a cobblestone alley at the foot of the Notre-Dame Collegiate Church. At the time, we launched a bold and unprecedented concept in France: walk-in wine tasting classes, 7 days a week, within our own dedicated premises.

From Rue d’Enfer to Rue Paul Bouchard: A Beaune Story

In November 2018, we reached a major turning point when we moved to 2A Rue Paul Bouchard, in the historic center of Beaune. This new setting, featuring 18th-century tasting rooms resting atop 14th-century cellars, allowed us to fulfill our quest for excellence: offering a more spacious yet intimate and personalized welcome.

A Free and Independent Wine School in Burgundy

Today, as we celebrate these two decades, our greatest pride remains our total independence.
• Independent, because Sensation Vin belongs solely to us: it does not belong to any group of owners or promotional organization. Our classes are sold by no one but ourselves.
• Free, because we design our own educational programs to meet your expectations, without any commercial pressure.
• Objective, because our mission is to pass on knowledge, not to sell products. Free from any promotional or sales targets, we prioritize a pure pedagogical approach, reinforced by blind tastings for an authentic discovery of the terroirs.

We believe this freedom of speech is the only way to allow you to truly learn, understand, and feel the full complexity of Burgundy wines.

Unique Expertise Dedicated to Teaching

In 2006, we were pioneers. In 2026, we remain one of the few "tasting schools" where this is our sole activity. This specialization allows us to maintain a level of demand and quality recognized far beyond our Burgundian borders.
